This heading appeared in today's ST. One 5-room unit in our estate was sold for this record price! My goodness!! $675k (moreover in cash)!!
It's absurd!!
The property prices in e last few months had gone up sooooo sooooo sooooooo much and so rapidly! Our estate is one of the hottest, having convenient central location and is relatively new with all amenities in close range.
"Property agents say the deal...reflects the growing demand for bigger flats in redeveloped precincts in estates like Tiong Bahru, Queenstown and Toa Payoh. They are close to MRT stations and Orchard Road, command good views because they are taller...and are also newer, having recently turned five years old."
Indeed these are the qualities that attracted us to this place when we were house hunting. We are so blessed and thankful for the right timing. The prices of units in our area went up substantially after we've gotten our unit! A good minimum of 25k! The last we heard before this absurd case was a unit sold for $580k...a good 60k more than ours!
Now with this area being so hot, we have property agents slipping pamphlets under our doors everyday, some even come knocking on our doors...asking if we're interested to sell our unit.
All in all, we are just utterly happy and thankful with the purchase!
It's PAW's little haven...priceless!! =P
